WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
This workshop is designed for those interested in starting or strengthening household water
treatment and safe storage projects in developing countries. It provides an introduction to water
sources, distribution system and contamination, the water treatment process, household water treatment and safe
storage options. Participants will identify the potential contaminant points in their water source.
OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the workshop participants will be able to:
Identify the risk points of contamination of existing water source in the community
Prepare risk assessment and risk management method of managing safe water from source to mouth
Prepare water safety plan to improve existing drinking water source
Discuss on the importance of household water treatment and safe storage including different feasible options.
