CAWST recommends that you attend a Project Implementation for the Biosand Filter workshop. Attending a training workshop before starting your project is the best way to ensure a successful project over the long-term.

The CAWST workshop will offer instruction and hands-on experience for participants in the construction of all components of the filter—concrete containers, media, diffuser basins and lids. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the rationale for the filter design, how to install it and how to instruct householders on its correct usage.
The workshop also provides time for individuals and organizations to begin planning how, when and where they will do the project.
There is no real substitute for attending a training course on the biosand filter. This workshop will help ensure the success of the overall project.
